This beach was absolutely lovely. The smell of the fresh sea air was beautiful. There was a nearby cafe and bakery where you could get a Mr.Whippy for just £3.00! We went and enjoyed chicken salad which we bought ourselves while enjoying the sound of the seagulls and walking on the soft sandy shore. We did paddle boarding and the staff were friendly, funny and very understanding when explaining what to do when paddling on the board. When buying souvenirs the lady who was managing the beach store was very friendly and commented on my purse. I had a lovely time and would 100% recommend coming to this beach as it is easy to navigate and there is no hills to worry about if you have mobility issues. DO NOT miss what this beach has to offer as it feels like your in a movie the minute you look at the sea!

We stayed a few steps from this beach, so it was our little gem, the beach is a bit stoney, so beach shoes are advisable. The sea is freezing, but we did get in. There are a lot of rocks either end so it is brilliant for rock pooling, we saw a few crabs, a jellyfish, some small fish and some tiny star fish. Not may shells on the beach. More stones. There is a little takeaway, with a small shop, toilets and a lovely beach cafe, which you can have snacks outside or a nice meal inside in the evening. There is a well stocked Co-op over the road to the cafe as well. We saw 2 takeaway food vans parked right on the road too, coffees and pizza seemed to be the main thing. Also there is a mobile sauna, which you can hire, in a group, on the beach.

Lovely beach been here a few times in summer and was never that crowded, there parking about 5 min walk, There's toilets right next to the beach and places to get food and drink, the beach also has lifeguards, I don't know if that's all year round as I've only been in the summer. When the tide is out the rock pools are great for kids and adults to explore, we found crabs, fish, jellyfish and a tiny starfish I highly recommend this beach.

Lovely beach, always clean and tidy, great for families, couples, or solo visits

Great that they have paddle boarding and wet suit hire there

Public toilets on the seafront, water tap for getting rid of the sand!

It is lovely to sit outside or inside the beach pub for food or drink, although it is advisable to check food serving opening times

And delicious ice creams, hot and cold drinks served from the little building next to the pub and public toilets

It's great that there is a co-op there, too, saves you going all the way into town for supplies

I love this beach, a lovely short coastal walk to swanpool Beach with another cafe with a decked area on the beach

And Queen Mary Garden next to the beach, lovely garden when in bloom

This place has something...
