Húsavík Wooden Church is a beautiful and historic gem in the town. The church’s classic Icelandic architecture, with its white walls and green roof, is both charming and picturesque. Inside, the wooden interior is warm and inviting, with intricate details that reflect its history and craftsmanship. It’s a peaceful place to visit, whether you’re interested in history, architecture, or simply looking for a moment of quiet reflection. A must-see when in Húsavík!

Built in the Nordic style, reportedly one of the most beautiful churches in Iceland. Having previously toured much of outer Iceland, I can agree that this is the nicest I have seen, even better in my mind than Hallgrimskirkja in Reykjavik, which while large and majestic, is a bit nouveau. I did not have an opportunity to enter this church so cant comment on the interior.

Beautiful church in the center of Husavik. It overlooks the bay, you can’t miss it, it’s at the Main Street. Interesting architecture design, very Scandinavian. Matches well the city and the area. We didn’t go inside but please do if you are in the area. Plenty of parking behind the church and lots of street parking.

The church is very nice and all the people were very welcoming and friendly. The architecture is very nice and the surroundings are beautiful. All of the nature is breath taking. When me and me and my fiance went there we had the most amazing fish salad and we had a wonder full time at GeoSea bathes where evry one is nude and it is very freeing. It doesn't sound good being nude infront of a lot of people but the sexual...
