This hostel is more like a hotel, we had a double room with an actual double bed (hard to find in Iceland!) and a nice big shower in the bathroom, huge panoramique window in our bedroom looking over the town. There is a bar on the top floor that hosts live music and conferences, all very cool and interesting, and free! Awesome atmosphere in the bar and super friendly staff, great internet connection, good coffee, a range of local beers and even a smoking area on a balcony that looks over the town. Super central, literally on one of the main streets in the city, you can find nice bars, restaurants and shopping as you walk out of the door.

It’s one of the most beautiful places in Iceland! City, port, water and snow covered mountains! It can be calm, but we were on a busy day. You can’t miss walk around the city, hike up the Husavik Mountain, hop on a whale watching tour. In July we were lucky to attend a big festival- the city felt alive!

It is a very pretty town at the coast. We went Whale watching there and the coastline is amazing. Also the harbour was partly closed for filming a movie or a show. Keep an eye open for Husavík in thhe upcoming TV or Movie material.
