It was ok. Very limited lunch menu at this time, only 2 fish options - fish of the day, and the soup of the day which happened to be seafood soup (what I got). The rest were chicken or hamburger. For somewhere right on the harbor, I was hoping for a soup with large pieces of varied fresh fish, but this just had some of the tiny shrimps and small pieces of flaky white fish. It was overly salted in my opinion. I know everywhere in Iceland is expensive, but this was priced like a main course with the portion of a starter, and more expensive than any of the pictures of the menu on here. The pieces of bread were the best part, oddly.
The waiters were nice. The soup came within 10 minutes and I was in/out within a half hour. The view of the harbor is really lovely. I got a discount through Husavik Adventures whale tour.
Overall not bad, but nothing to write home about and less than expected for such a well situated restaurant. I will have to try somewhere else for...

You'd think this lovely venue with full patio overlooking the snow capped mountains and Shaky Bay in Husavik would be a real contender for top notch seafood, but it really wasn't. 🤷
The tiger prawn skewers on the menu were medium shrimp with red onion and peppers thrown together for 30 bucks. The seafood soup was a few shrimp in a tomato based stock. No sign of any other seafood. 🤷 The chicken sandwich was mediocre. The gas stations had better sandwiches actually. And the fries were okay but nothing special. For $120 it was very disappointing since you'd think this ocean-based restaurant would want to have bragging rights in this area.
The best part about this place is the outdoor patio overlooking stunning ocean and mountain views. And the staff are friendly and efficient. 🤷👎
It's better to just have a beer and good company...
Read more3.750 ISK for one vegan dish of the day: One tiny Schnitzel and a few root vegetables. First the server said there's puree included, then another waiter mentioned there's no puree included but sauce (which we also did not get). The portion was a joke, not enough to get even close to satisfied and no one ever got back to us with an explanation of why food was missing, we were just charged the full price. The waiters (except for one guy and one girl) did not seem to be motivated to work there at all and seemed rather unfriendly. They told us the kitchen is closed for another 12 minutes in an unfriendly tone although the restaurant has been open for a while and there was no indication, that lunch is not available until 12.30. Don't go there if you want to avoid being disappointed. One of the worst places I've...
