We were a party of four and arrived at Salka around 4:30 pm. The restaurant wasn’t even half full, and we were seated upstairs right away, so far, so good.
Things went downhill with our server. When I asked if the fish could be plated separately from the sides (my child doesn’t like them touching), she looked impatient and said the kitchen was very busy and probably couldn’t do it. When my son asked about another dish, she told him to check Google because “they have pictures of the entire menu.” I did, and when I tried to order something I saw in those photos, she said they didn’t have it.
My husband arrived a bit later and placed his order. As soon as he finished his sentence, our server turned her back and walked away, so we didn’t get to add a second dish. ISK2950 each... chocolate cake is ISK1950 which is the most expensive for a slice in Iceland......
