A very nice little restaurant, looks new, minimalist design, cosy and quiet. The staff were absolutely fab, great service, unfortunately the food was not to my taste. The sushi is not what sushi is supposed to taste like, you can say it is their own style, but sorry not my taste. We also ordered food from their hot meals section, the "chicken breast" was like chicken Katsu Curry except the sauce wasn't curry, not sure how to describe it, tasted a bit weird but edible. The Arctic char on the other hand wasn't too bad. I think I would enjoy the place for drinks, but the food sadly isn't to my taste. Three stars are for the staff and excellent service.

Hlodufell restaurant is one out of very few in Husavik, our experience was bad since our order went to the wrong table and it was me to realize and point it out. And the waiter after some minutes of the order being to the wrong table, he took it back and he brought it to us without thinking if it is ok, n after me commenting it out he said he could bring another one so we had to wait for more when we were waiting already so long.. Thus, one star for the bad service and the pricey dry sushi.. Definitely Not recommend it!

Surprisingly great sushi restaurant. They have a good selection of rolls with locally sourced fish and build many of the rolls with a 'local' twist like lox roll. According to the waiter the fish is freshly farmed and was 'alive this morning'. The fish and chips was also great. The rolls were a good size and 1 could easily be a meal for 1 person. Definitely a good place to have a meal in Husavik.

Fantastic menu, great choices… Delicious sushi and sashimi! We had the edamame salad, Sashimi Mix, Futomak Salmon, Arctic Char Futomaki… Great location and open late. We came in after 9:30pm and ate a beautiful meal… Kitchen closes at 9P but if you’re lucky… (and nice!) you might get dinner late! Loved sitting upstairs. Yum! We’ll be back next time. sorry but my short review... the waiters were very nice..but ..If you've ever eaten good sushi, it's not good here. and the owner's comments under the bad reviews...they say everything about this restaurant. P.S.: If you're looking for really good sushi, go to Seydisfjorður or Akureyri or the capital.

Amazing fresh sushi restaurant - had a party of 7 and they accommodated us easily! The sushi was so fresh and amazing, they brought out 2 free edamames for us because the wait for food was just a tad long, which we found to be no issue at all as we were enjoying the ambiance of the restaurant anyways!
