This is a natural lake located on the southern end of the garden and is known for its beauty and natural features. The lake has two islands, a walking path around its perimeter lined with trees, and a bridge connecting to the eastern end. While developed by James Cameron in 1890 for water supply, it was originally a natural lake. Spreading over 40 acres with a depth of 3.5 meters, it's a significant water body within the garden. The two islands within the lake are a haven for birds, including migratory species, and provide ideal breeding and nesting grounds. Khus grass (Vetiveria Zizanioides) has been used to help purify the lake water, making it the first lake in Karnataka to utilize...

This is a large man made water body. There used to be plenty of birds visiting here till 2020. Off late there are very few cormorants and nothing more! Lake is cleaned up and scenic. However, it is also shallow. It's a sprawling several acres of beautiful tourist attraction. The Lalbagh park staff are working relentlessly to keep visitors hygiene and health concerns a priority. Staff checks temperature of all visitors at entrance...

This lake is a scenic place. It is huge in terms of area and has lots of birds all around. Fishes are easily seen inside the lake. There is a wide path along the lake for walking or jogging. There are benches to seat and spend some time with mother nature and enjoy the peaceful sound of nature. Some vendors sell there items here and there. There are some sign board cautioning about cobra snake under...
