New Lalbagh Grand Veg — Restaurant in Bengaluru

Was looking for some lunch options near Lal Bagh and found this place just behind the Lal Bagh metro station next to a gas station. Centrally located and easy to access, looked neat and clean from the outside. Ordered their south Indian thali along with one fresh mosambi juice. There were 2 seperate counters for meals and fresh juice, I gave the juice token to the juice counter guy which was located at the entrance and the food token inside the dining area. I collected my food and then i went on to check on my juice which they didn’t even start preparing. I told them my food is ready and I am starting off kindly send the juice once it’s ready. I finished half my meal and still my juice didn’t not arrive then I told the waiter in the dining area to check and he then comes back to tell that the juice is ready and asked me to go and collect as it’s a self service. I told him I understand and I went there but it was not ready and I am eating now he said no it’s self service. I had to get up in between my meal and collect my juice. You can definitely recognise the location of this restaurant with its name. This Lalbagh Grand Veg is located near Lalbagh. The menu is all South Indian. Usually it gets crowded during mornings and in evenings due to people who visit the park for walks and jogs.

We visited on Saturday morning, the place was as usual crowded. We ordered chaw chaw and idli vada just get a faster service. The ambiance lacks ventilation so it was kinda hot inside to sit, luckily it’s got some standing tables outside.

The chaw chaw was really amazing, the sweetest of kesari bath with pineapple chunks in it totally complimented with the khara bath filled with vegetables. The coconut chatney elevated the entire dish.

Idli vada was ordered by my friend, she said it was good not sure but looked good though.

Worst hotel, first of all, food is not at all tasty. Check our the open kitchen floor. It’s damn dirty. Then, they don’t even serve properly. If questioned, they will be careless . Would strictly avoid this place forever 👎🏻

1. appreciate if you can have a good supervisor to monitor the cleanliness of the open kitchen floor and ensure it’s clean
2. Improvise the taste
3. Ask your staff to check who’s order is taken first and deliver it to them instead of messing up with the order of delivery. Your staff were not even courteous enough to fix the issue and they were like you can move on if you...
