I want to share a cautionary tale from my recent purchase at Nadilath G Mart (Edappally showroom) to warn others before shopping here. I’m sharing this experience only because they asked me to share it through a QR code on the bill.
My Experience:
I purchased a PureFlames gas stove for ₹14,999, and the store agreed to take my old stove for ₹2,900, which meant the total amount payable for the new stove would be ₹12,000. I chose the PureFlames stove because they promoted it well, making it seem like a great choice. However, after purchasing, I realized the stove was not working and came without a battery, which was essential for it to function. When I returned to the store and inquired, the salesperson told me it was a basic model, so a battery wasn't included. After buying a battery and attempting to fix it, the stove still didn’t work.
Return Process:
I decided to return the product the next morning, but it was a struggle to get them to accept it. The store made it clear they would not return my money but instead offered to let me choose another product, which seems to be an unwritten rule in Kerala. I ended up buying a V-Guard stove for ₹9,999 and another item worth ₹3,800.
In the hurry of the situation, I missed recalculating the amount, and later realized that they didn’t include the ₹2,900 for my old stove in the exchange value, effectively cheating me out of that amount.
Follow-Up Issues:
When I contacted the salesperson, she initially understood the issue and said I could get my old stove back. However, just two minutes later, she called me back and said I would need to pay an extra ₹2,000 to get it. When I went back to the store to resolve the situation, I was directed to a senior salesperson or manager. Although I stayed firm on my logic, they tried to confuse me and manipulate the situation. Finally, they agreed to return my old stove, but when I got home, I found they had given me a different brand than what I had originally exchanged.
At the end of this ordeal, I ended up paying around ₹19,000 for a few appliances and a frustrating experience that left me feeling cheated.
Previous Positive Experience:
It's worth mentioning that I had purchased from another Nadilath G Mart outlet long ago, and that experience was quite positive. This recent purchase, however, was a stark contrast.
Suggestions for Future Shoppers:
*Have a clear plan of what you want before entering the store.
*Don’t let the salespeople’s words convince you unless you're satisfied with the product.
If you return something, get a receipt and ensure they mention the value of the exchange item.
They may seem polite, but stay firm and make sure all calculations are accurate.
Be wary of buying unknown brands that you're not familiar with.

We went there on Saturday and they told they will deliver it probably on Tuesday or Wednesday and the AC technician will come for fitting on Thursday and also confirmed that there won't be delivery charges.. Next day they delivered the AC, which was surprising, but asked delivery charges, which we clarified with the person who took care of us at Nandilath. He said it was some kind of misunderstanding and told not to give the same. The stabilizer delivered was wrong model, but same brand and same rate, so we didn't complain and inform. After this the AC technician didn't coming for fitting in next 2 days. We informed them regarding same and they told, since it was planned to be delivered on Wednesday, technician will come only after that. We enquired whether they have informed the technician regarding a delivery like this and they told yes. Wednesday also we called them and this time they were irritated and was not behaving in proper manners. Finally a call from AC company service came and they said they were informed today only and will come on next day for fitting. Finally they came on Friday and fixed AC. About 1 week after booking an AC we got it fixed. We went to Nandilath for getting an AC and fitting them as soon as possible, because of this severe hot climate and this was their customer service. I must mention, however, that my first visit was a bit disappointing. No staff approached or offered help—I wasn’t even asked what I was looking for, which made me feel ignored and unvalued as a customer.
But I gave it another chance and came back—and this time the experience was totally different. I was assisted by a staff member named Anees, who provided excellent service. He was polite, knowledgeable, and guided me through the options with patience. Thanks to him, my second visit turned out to be a much better experience . About six months ago, I purchased a washing machine from the showroom and had a smooth experience. This time, I returned to buy an LG refrigerator, and I was happy to see that their collection was still just as impressive. The appliance is working well, and I’m satisfied with the value I got for the price.
Nandilath G-Mart is a great place to shop for home appliances, thanks to its vast selection, affordable prices, and frequent discounts. While my first experience wasn’t great, the second visit—especially the service from Anees—made a big difference. I would recommend this showroom but suggest that they maintain consistent customer service across all visits.
