Please don’t go with the positive reviews that you see. I wouldn’t even rate this hotel a 0 because it is worse than that. We had booked 2 rooms for 4 people two weeks prior to our trip date. After we reached there, they gave us two AMAZING ROOMS which were sooo nasty that we couldn’t even stay for a second. So, we have asked for a different room, explained them the situation and asked them to give us a room immediately. and the hotel staff denied saying the rooms are full. When we have left to have our dinner downstairs. The food provided there was so worse that we came back to room within 5min. To our surprise our room door was already open and when we entered the room, a service boy was coming out of our room asking “why didn’t we lock our room?”. Firstly, we have locked up our room and double checked it and, even if we missed locking it, when the room is already occupied how can a service boy enter the room without us being there. When asked about it, in return they have questioned us saying that we have forgot to lock the door. After this incident, the rooms in the hotel are free and then they gave us an extra room for us to stay without making any fuss about the incident. The next day morning we had a trek and had to leave the hotel by 6. By the time we reached downstairs, there were two cars parked blocking our car. When we have asked them to find out whose car that was, they were passing on comments and was disinterested in helping us. After dragging this for 45min, they have ended up getting the numbers of the two car owners and called them. When we have asked the car owners on how could they park the vehicle by blocking other cars, they said that they have given the number in the reception. The next incident was on the same day were we had to checkout at 12 and came back to room from trek at 11 because of the delay in the morning. They were constantly mocking us, called us multiple times and were hitting the door asking us to clear the room at 11. The manager called us and told us in a very intimidating way that we have just 5min to clear the room and hung up. This is the very reason, it has become very tough for girl travelers to travel somewhere with such kind of people being everywhere. They have this nasty attitude of looking down at there customers, they wouldn’t even respond if a customer is having any problem or is having a safety issue. When they are doing a hospitality business, they are not doing any favour to customers, but should rather take care of them properly. So guys if anyone of you are travelling to manali and are planning to stay here, PLEASE don’t goo. They are some really shady people and please don’t fall for the looks of the hotel, rather read this review...

we had worst experience at hotel mountain top . we faced these issues : we had called hotel that we will come at scheduled day but may be late but hotel do not provide the booked room we reached hotel at 3 am in the morning but no one available to do check-in we booked the Deluxe rooms but hey provided a family room and one apple room which is not good at all . we stayed 4 day and 3 night at the hotel but they do not do cleaning of the room on any single day. breakfast was complimentary but while doing breakfast we asked one more serve of an item and they charged for that .

altogether the experience was very bad. please do not fall for it . go and check other hotels.

I cant reply on top of Hotel mountain tops reply but i can edit my review so please find my reply here:

i am very angry from your reply that you did not want to improvise instead you want me to understand that you work only like this and i was wrong. so please hold your thoughts i had stayed in many hotels and your hotel is not something extraordinary . here is my reply.

first of all i have called at service but you did not keep my room ready then how i can expect you had made me check in at 3 am

you said no body provide check in at 3 am but i feel you are not aware about your competitors and nor about how hotel works . i did check in at till 4 am in many hotels i can list some examples here like Bheemtal, Udaipur and Macau etc.

for providing the room why should i ask you personally if i had already booked my preference on internet . if i still need to ask you personally then i suggest you to please put off yourself from internet and start taking booking only from personal meets.

for cleaning room service . is it not your duty ? why i should request you for this . i did stayed in Shimla based hotels and no hotel expected to get asked for cleaning for doing cleaning . usually they ask while leaving room for the day like sir you want cleaning or not ?

not unlike you who expect guest will ask for cleaning.

for breakfast i know its not unlimited but i think we did not eat much we just asked you extra plate of poori bhaji apart from you served . thats not an issue if i eat food i must pay so paid it. and if you calculate eat bite then Hotel mountain top please provide refund for 2 days breakfast as we did breakfast for...

During my recent four-night stay at the hotel, I encountered several notable observations:

Power Backup: Regrettably, the hotel lacks any form of power backup. This deficiency can be particularly inconvenient during outages, compromising guest comfort and safety.

Room Odor: The rooms were permeated with a persistent foul smell, significantly detracting from the overall experience and cleanliness standards.

Water Supply Interruptions: There were frequent interruptions in the water supply, exacerbated by the absence of electricity to operate the pumps. This made it challenging for guests to access water, especially during power outages.

Unclean Cutlery: The cleanliness of the cutlery provided by the hotel left much to be desired. This highlights a lapse in hygiene standards within the hotel's dining facilities.

Terrace Ambiance: While the terrace boasted a pleasant view, the presence of washroom odors significantly detracted from the overall ambiance and comfort of the area.

Lack of Cleanliness on Roof: The roof area suffered from a lack of cleanliness, with tables consistently dirty and bearing spilled food and stains. This indicated a failure to maintain cleanliness standards in these spaces.

Absence of Washroom Exhaust: Furthermore, the absence of exhaust systems in the washrooms contributed to the foul smell, exacerbating the discomfort and lack of hygiene in these areas.

In summary, my experience at the hotel was marred by several issues including power outages, persistent odors, water supply disruptions, unclean cutlery, lack of cleanliness on the terrace and roof areas, and the absence of washroom exhaust systems. These shortcomings significantly detracted from the overall comfort and satisfaction...

Absolutely Horrible Experience at Mountain Top View, Manali — Never Again! I stayed at Mountain Top View in Manali, and I must say — this was the worst hotel experience of my life. The room condition was beyond disappointing — the curtains were torn and shabby, giving the whole place a very neglected and poorly maintained look. It felt like no one had cared to update or clean the room in years. To make things worse, the room was full of houseflies buzzing around constantly. The sound of flies buzzing near the lights, windows, and even around the bed was extremely disturbing and unhygienic. It was impossible to relax or sleep peacefully with that irritating noise in the background. The bathroom situation was even worse — there was no water in the flush tank! Absolutely shocking for any hotel, especially in a tourist destination like Manali. The inside of the flush tank was dirty and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned or maintained for a long time. Overall, this hotel is a clear example of false promises and poor management. It was a nightmare staying here with unhygienic conditions, insects all around, and basic facilities like the toilet flush not working. If you are planning a peaceful and comfortable stay in Manali — Mountain Top View is the last place you should consider. Highly disappointing and definitely not recommended.

We stayed here for two days and honestly, this has to be one of the best hotels in Manali at the best price! The location is perfect – just a short walk from Hadimba Temple and a little far from Mall Road, yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-maintained with all the basic facilities you need. Beds were comfortable, hot water was available, and the overall vibe of the room made the stay very cozy. The service and hospitality were excellent – the staff are very helpful, quick to respond, and always polite, which made our stay stress-free and comfortable. The best highlight for us was the rooftop terrace and views. From here you get a breathtaking panorama of beautiful mountains and the valley below. Sitting there in the morning or evening with the cool breeze and the scenic view was just magical. The rooftop space is beautifully done and really gives the hotel a special charm. Overall, if you’re coming to Manali and looking for comfort, great views, good service, and a budget-friendly stay, Hotel Mountain Top is a perfect choice for couples, families, or even solo travelers. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Manali!
