ram woodsvilla cottage manali — Hotel in Great Himalayan Range

First of all, they run a scam by naming this property as woods villa in MakeMyTrip and other travel sites. This place is just ram cottage. Lots of construction site around and full of dust. Location was never accessible. Even the local car drivers roamed around for 30 mins to find this. They don’t have the rooms in a liveable condition. The bathrooms were worse than a public toilet. Not clean. Flush not working. Totally unhygienic. The host was worse of all. They don’t even provide room heater. Charges 1000 per day and worse part is there is no power back up. We lived in dark an entire night due to power cut. And, we were charged rent for the heater for the dark night too. They don’t provide room service. Last but not least, the food was horrible. They buy from some local shops and sell it for 4 times the price. Too over priced.

The manager of the property Mr Devendar cheated us. We booked a 3 bedroom villa ( with 3 bedrooms obviously!) And we got 2 bedrooms only with 2 attached bathrooms for 9 people. When questioned about the 3rd room he said that one of the single large bedrooms with 2 king BEDS are the two bedrooms! And he took the charge for the three rooms. 9 people struggled so much to stay in the two rooms in congested manner.

Room heaters : They charge extra for room heaters and even blankets

Food : the food will be delivered 2 hours after ordering and the quantity will be 2 or 3 less everytime. Such unprofessional service

They accept the payments only through cash and not gpay even.

The location is 2km from Hadimba Devi temple and hence big vehicles like tempo travellers can't get to the cottage.

I booked two rooms at this hotel via Agoda, based on the photos and descriptions shown online. The hotel also asked me to pay 20% in advance through Agoda's message system, which I did. But when I reached the property, I was shocked – the rooms were completely different, dirty, poorly maintained, and nothing like the pictures on Agoda.

Due to the unacceptable condition, I refused to check in and had to find alternate accommodation on short notice. The hotel staff refused to cancel or refund the amount I had already paid, despite clearly misleading advertising.

This experience felt like a scam, and I strongly advise future travelers to avoid this hotel unless you want to be disappointed and possibly cheated. Agoda has also been unresponsive so far, which adds to the...
