Karanji Lake Butterfly Park — Attraction in Karnataka

Nice place however could see from a distance as entry towards butterfly park is closed.

Overall it was a good experience to be in Karanji Park.

There's a pathway of a little less than 2 km length and good for healthy walk. Pathway is surrounded by nice trees along the way

Trees are dense and long leading to cool environment while walking

In the park there is a small children playing area. It has swings slides and other playing equipments for kids.

Recently few gym equipments have been added for health conscious adults. It has rotary disc for waist exercises, pullers for building arm muscle power and even bars and few more equipments

There's also a zoo with animals like pigeon etc. Children can enjoy the zoo.

Provision for boating is available. One can enjoy icelands in between while having boat rides.

Birds visit this place and are normally on the trees on icelands.

There are a lot of bamboo trees in the park. Therefore there are snakes also.

Park is available for morning walkers from 630 am to 830 am against monthly / yearly pass. People accompanying can join by paying rs. 10 per visit.

Park is open to public after 830 and ticket price is rs. 25

A calm, peaceful, non crowded park nestled in the heart of Mysore city, amidst a lot of greenery, a serene lake and a children's park. The number of peacocks one can see here roaming around is unbelievable. The boat ride was a great learning experience as the boatman not only paddled the oars deftly but also made frequent stops to show us a variety of rare birds flying just above the waters of the lake. Good place to Hangout but in order to go to the Butterfly park one have walk a long distance or hire a bicycles at entrance of the lake. But Again the butterfly park is not opened they have closes the entry to the park.

The lake area, Walk through Aviary and children play area is awesome things to do....
