Perspective: Parent of a 3-year-old
I-Drive attempts to deliver a complete, multi-activity park experience within the city, centered around its go-kart track. While the idea of bringing diverse games to an urban space is commendable, the park’s fundamental safety flaws and layered pricing model are significant drawbacks.
Critical Safety Hazard: Go-Karts Mixed with Play Zones
This is the most critical issue. The layout of the "I-Drive" go-kart track is dangerously integrated, weaving through the park area where toddlers play.
Unsafe Proximity: You have high-speed karts (driven by adults and older kids, often without caution) operating directly next to soft play areas and crossings used by very small children.
Collision Risk: We witnessed frequent collisions and observed young kids trying to cross the track to reach different play zones.
Verdict: This setup is highly unsafe. The aggressive driving combined with the lack of effective separation between a motor racing attraction and a children's park is an unacceptable design failure.
Pricing and Value for Supervising Adults
The pricing model offers low value, particularly for parents whose sole role is supervision.
Unjustified Adult Entry Fee: Entry is charged per adult, not per child. Since nearly every single attraction—including the go-karts, arcade, and soft play—requires an additional, separate payment, the base ticket for an adult offers little beyond general park access. The ticket "freebies" are essentially a disguised payment for the adult to stand by.
Amenities and Crowd Management Tips
Crowd Timing: For a quieter visit, come during daytime hours on weekdays. Be aware that weekends, especially after 5 PM, are highly crowded.
Soft Play Area: This amenity is available only on weekends. While the space itself can become crowded, a strong positive is that the soft play area is less expensive compared to other centers in the city, and they provide free socks with entry.
Other Attractions: The park also features an arcade (small, crowded, and extra cost) and other rides appropriate for the 3-year-old age group, in addition to the water area.
Final Verdict
The 3-star rating reflects a mixed experience. The effort to create a multi-generational, fun urban facility is appreciated. However, the rating is pulled down by the dangerous lack of safety in the track’s layout and the overly expensive experience resulting from the entry fee plus constant charges for every...
Read moreA variety of entertainment options for kids, but be careful!
The park opens at 12:30 pm (12:30-9:00pm). Entry fee as of 2023 is 140/person, which would also offer two rounds of a ride through the elevated track ( a bit scary) or a 10-minute movie show and one ice cream. It has various toy car rides, outdoor play facilities for kids and an indoor ‘soft play’ area (150 rs; unlimited time, socks are compulsory). All other rides require extra charges (e.g. electric toy car ride would cost you an additional Rs 250 for 20 minutes. There’s also a pool and facilities for essential water play.
This place has the potential to provide quality entertainment for kids, but the lack of enough safety precautions would make one wonder how accidents are not happening here every minute..The main highlight here is the provision to ride both manual and electric cars on a tarred ‘kid’s road’. I hope they address the following concerns soon:
Big electric toy-car run by adults or older children, small electric cars run by kids and manual small cars/tricycles run by kids are allowed to run on the same track simultaneously. On top of that, the staffs are not adequately or effectively instructing the parents or kids to obey basic minimum traffic rules: i.e. take only the left side of the track while riding. You will many times see your small kid riding a manual tricycle on the left side, facing a speeding big electric toy car coming head-on. To save their kids from their or others’ errors, many parents would be seen following their kid’s cars ON THE ROAD. This is the second issue- a big electric vehicle (driven by kids without driving skills) is always possible and can seriously hurt you. Even the lines to guide the riders have faded. Overall there’s no serious effort to make the adults and kids use only the left side of the track, except for a few sign/name boards displaying this message. Also, efforts to prevent people from walking through the tracks are nonexistent. In the pictures below, you can see riders dangerously crossing at junctions, riders taking the right side of the track and people standing and walking on the tracks. Cleaning of the surroundings is also not top-notch.
So I may prefer not to let myself and the kids take the rides and avoid walking through the tracks; instead, I would sit in one corner watching the kids enjoy the soft plays, movies and other outdoor play options. I am not sure about the water quality...
Read moreA previous visit being good @ 50 /- per person I decided to explore this park with my son and cousin sister plus her son. The ticket rate was now 100/- and what's more funny they have given u an entry ticket plus a ticket for ice cream . The ice cream u can't opt out. It's mandatory ...u have to pay for it. And guess what they charge u 45 per ice cream, the surprise is the ice cream that u get(read what is available there )is worth 15/-. And they wont refund it if they don't have something u don't like. Next they have the cars which u can drive on the roads that are congested and with parents and guardians walking all over the roads and no one to tell them to watch out. So they used to have these cars that u pedal with...a good physical exercise . On being asked the guy says the pedal ones are too difficult to ride now. So I assume they have not oiled them in ages , hence opted for battery car @250/-for 20 mins only to find a younger kid cool pedalling a car.well the employee did fool me😫 pedal cars now cost u 150/- for 30 mins compared to the 140/- for an hour previously. Next the water ride or whatever u call it. Used to be charged 100/- and billed the same for the ride. Now they charge you 200/-and give u a shorts free as they claim. But magic magic the bill says shorts 200/-!!!!!! The water thing has one main slide with two smaller size. The water is extremely chlorinated and was harsh on the kids eyes. The next step was to get the 'FREE' ice cream for which the employees with no remorse made us shuttle in the rain between two stalls only to find they don't have the flavours the kids liked (chocolate or coffee) The next option was to go back again to stall one thru the puddle of water and the drizzle to check on the chocobars and ball ice creams worth 15/- . On being questioned whether it can be refunded if our choice of Ice cream was not available, the employee felt entitled to be rude as we were" just two women" probably. We found the fellow giggling at us later. In short waste of money . Posted are the photos of the bill and the MRP of...
