Located on the terrace of the same building on which the more famous Naas(first floor), and Rabsal(second floor), are located, the Wanderers entails a climb of another flight of steps after Rabsal. Which means, few diners make the effort to make it to the third-floor terrace. The ones who do, will be delighted by the fantastic views of the Leh Palace and the market plaza below, minus the crowds at Naas and Rabsal. The dining area is in two parts. The open outdoor seating area with a temp roof overlooking the surroundings and a smaller traditional Ladakhi indoor dining area, suitable for chilly days. No surprises as to what customers prefer. The billing and cash counter area at one end of the terrace is done up in a funky style with an old Vespa scooter as one of the props. The abundance of wood is a delight, as well as prayer flags. Since it was lunchtime, I ordered a strawberry shake as an appetizer and an arabiatta for the main course. The strawberry shake, was sadly unavailable, so I'd to go for a strawberry icecream. It came sprinkled with nuts, which was an absolute delight. While the icecream was working up my appetite, the arabiatta came rather quickly in a beautiful blue plate. The sauce tasted overly of tomatoes. A presence of some other herbs would've helped give it more depth. I added dry oregano to blunt ghe tangy tomato taste. There was plenty of black olives and it was my first pasta lunch this summer. Very delightful. After the lunch, I lingered to enjoy the view of beautiful Leh on a...

No doubt, the view from the cafe is mesmerizing. So is it's modern yet gypsy ambience. The one thing which isn't so good about this place is it's kitchen crew. The attitude of their chef is the least expected by a person who's in town to have a good time. I ordered a veg burger and it was served in time. Maybe it was because of the hurry to serve quick or it's just the way they serve, but the side-fries weren't fried properly. Being a foodie, it makes me upset to see basic eatery items not done well. So, I requested someone at the counter to replace the fries for me. She was understanding and politely took the plate back to the kitchen. Their kitchen being open ended, I could hear the chef reacting with "Oh really?" when the female told him the issue with the food. I went up to him to politely let him know how fries are supposed to be golden brown and not pale white. He wouldn't agree and talked in a way which I wouldn't even expect from a person who hasn't been social at all. He banged the door on my face, had the body language of a misbehaved goon, and definitely, had no respect for a tourist. The cafe being so popular in town, needs to make amends. If not, then the chef definitely needs to calm his attitude down. I walked out of the cafe immediately, without even finishing my hot chocolate which also, was ordered along side the burger. Hence, I am eating a well prepared meal in a cafe called Rabsal, which is right below the mentioned one. And honestly, this one...

The Wanderers Terrace & Cafe is an absolute gem in Leh Market! From the moment I walked up in, I was greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The staff are incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure that every guest feels at our own home terrace.

The ambiance of the cafe is simply stunning. The terrace offers breathtaking views of the Shanti Stupa and Leh Palace, creating a serene and picturesque dining experience. It's the perfect spot to relax and soak in the beauty of Leh with the sound of Dream catchers.

The menu is diverse and caters to all tastes. I was particularly impressed with the quality and flavor of the dishes. The pizza and pasta were exceptionally tasty, prepared with fresh, local ingredients and presented beautifully. The cafe’s signature dishes are a must-try, and the smoothies are some of the best I've ever had!

What sets The Wanderers Terrace & Cafe apart is its unique blend of excellent service, delicious food, and an unbeatable location. Whether you're looking for a place to unwind after exploring Leh or a cozy spot to enjoy a meal with friends, this cafe has it all. I can't recommend it enough and will definitely be back on my next visit to...

***DONT EVER GO TO THIS PLACE PLEASE*** 1st - service was really really bad, even beer arrived after 10 minutes and I’m sure you can expert how long the food would of taken. 2nd - we ordered honey chilli potatoes but they ended up giving us French fries with honey on top which was quite funny because they don’t know what honey chilli potatoes are. 3rd - we ordered white pasta and it arrived after 45 minutes of order and when it arrived, it had a peace of steel in it and when we questioned about it, owner came out and he started offering us discounts and stuff which we were really disappointed about because he thought we were a cheap people who wanted a free food of them. 4th - plates were disgusting and we had to change them 2 to 3 times I really don’t recommend but if you wanna go please go at your own risk
