One of the must visit occasion - is the Ganga Aarti at Triveni Sangam Ghat. There is a well organised team of Pujaris and devotees who conduct this Arti every evening just as the sun sets in the horizon. There r professional singers who sing the Ganga Arti and other songs in Glorification of Mother Ganga, accompanied by professional musicians and professional sound system, while the Pujaris perform the Daily Ritualistic Beautiful Ganga Arti. All the lamps r daily sponsored by deferent families from all over the Indian subcontinent. Their names r announced prior to the Arti. There r nice coloured carpets layed down on the Ghat steps for people to sit and watch the Arti. As the Arti starts the assistant Pujaris hand few small lamps to the public for them also to perform the Arti. In turn the limited lamps r rotated among the crowd so that many of them get a chance to do the Arti with the small lamps. At the end of the Arti which extends for nearly 15 minutes, the Pujaris give flowers to the public, and amidst chanting of mantras they all offer the flowers to Mother Ganges and sip her water and also sprinkle a little bit on their heads for their own purification. The singers and musicians continue to sing and play various songs in Glorification of Mother Ganges for the pleasure and benefit of the crowd.
Also do visit the Ancient Bharat Temple housing the Beautiful Big Black Stone Deity of Sri Narayan holding a Conch Disk Lotus and Club. On it's left side r the small Shaligram Shilas of various sizes. There is also a small Museum adjoining the temple entrance.
Once in a year, they have a Bueatiful Festival of taking the biggest Shaligra Shila amongst the small Shaligram Shilas, in a Palkhi Procesion towards the Ganga Ghat nearby, to perform it's Abhishek by Submerging it in the Ganges water three times.

Read moreMadhuban ashram is located in muni ki reti at Rishikesh about 1.5 kms from Ram jhula. and can be easily located. It is very near to the main Road where from you can have conveyance for anywhere.Ram Jhoola, Swargashram, Gita Bhavan are located within a radius of 2 km. The beautiful ISKCON temple is part of this property. It was peaceful and very energizing. It is very close to Ganga ghat and has an excellent riverside walkway leading to Ramjhula and to the other side of the Ganga. ||Fabulous watch of evening Ganga Arti and its very pleasing to soul.||A nice walkway has been constructed along the river . But the approach road near the stairs was extremely dirty and stinking and local municipal body need to do something to get it cleaned and maintained.||Because of the proximity of this place to the river we had walked across a no of times in day and night - the view is very nice & it was great feeling to walk around Ganga in the morning which is just 5 mins walk from the Hotel ||This is ashram type accommodation and the room was neat and clean with clean bathrooms and well ventilated rooms with attached balconies. Lift is also available.||The Hotel provided free bottled water daily. The paintings on the wall at the hotel and restaurant are religious (Hindu), which was absolutely impressive and live. One should look at the statue of the founder - its so live and symbolic of peace and purity||There is a good Govinda's restaurant (same lines as ISCKON) within the premises. The restaurant food is great. but a bit overpriced. But It is made fresh and if needed can be customized. My son has some diet restrictions and they made it very nicely per my request. Food is prepared without use of Onion and Garlic. There is no room service available and at least they can provide tea coffee machine in the room. in the restaurent they serve only herbal tea which is good but option for normal tea also could be done.||Overall the staffs at the hotel and in restaurant were very helpful, very polite and friendly. We loved and enjoyed our stay there. Ambiance is very religious .||I had booked through MakeMyTrip and there was a bit of disappointment - Firstly the room i had seen in picture was bigger in size to comfortably accommodate 3 people and it was having balcony with a view of the river. I had selected the hotel primarily for this ||But the room i was given has disappointed - it was small in size making it congested and view was towards backyard of garden. Secondly in MMT the tariff i got after so many discounts, coupon was misleading - the rate of the hotel if i would have come directly was same. This was not...
