Janki Bridge, Rishikesh: A Walk Through Faith and Adventure Rishikesh's Janki Bridge isn't just a suspension bridge crossing the Ganges; it's a vibrant tapestry woven with spirituality, adrenaline, and breathtaking views. Here's a glimpse of my experience: The Good: Exhilarating walk: Crossing the 234-meter bridge, suspended 80 feet above the roaring Ganges, is a thrill seeker's delight. Feel the wind whip through your hair as you gaze down at the churning waters and lush green banks. Spiritual vibe: Janki Bridge pulsates with the spiritual energy of Rishikesh. Witness saffron-clad sadhus meditating, hear the rhythmic chants of hymns flowing from nearby ashrams, and feel a sense of calm wash over you. Panoramic views: The bridge offers stunning vistas of the Ganges, Rishikesh's ghats and ashrams, and the surrounding Himalayan foothills. Soak in the breathtaking scenery and capture picture-perfect moments. Lively atmosphere: The bridge buzzes with activity - street performers showcasing their talents, vendors selling trinkets and souvenirs, and families enjoying a day out. Take in the vibrant sights and sounds of Rishikesh.

when I visited this, Laxman Jhula was under construction so drivers would drop you here and you cross Janki Jhula, explore all the ashrams, and come back vis Ram Jhula. Janki Setu, named after Goddess Sita (Janki) was a modern marvel that blended harmoniously with its divine setting, The bridge featured intricate paintings and statues that showcased the rich Hindu mythology. The Janaki Setu under construction in the Ganges between Kailash Gate and Ved Niketan will be the first three-lane bridge in Uttarakhand. A foot lane will be built on both sides of this bridge, with one lane coming in and the other going. Whereas, in the middle part there will be space for two-wheelers and carts. However, this bridge is being built with a load capacity suitable for four-wheelers. This bridge is built on the Ganges River and has a length of 274 meters.
