The No. 1 must-visit spot in Bandung! Everybody say it with me—THE BANDUNG PUBLIC ZOO!!
...hahah, nah I'm sorry for messing with you. So, welcome to Braga Street, the legendary, lively, and slightly chaotic heart of Bandung! A place where vintage charm meets modern hype, where you can find everything from street food and fashion to charming hotels and—oh, yeah—those occasional friendly neighborhood scammers (but hey, just gracefully ignore them… or step on their toes lightly, your call).
Your Braga Survival Guide (In Order)
Step 1: Get Yourself a NICE Stay
If you're gonna do Braga, do it right—book a hotel nearby! This street is home to some ridiculously aesthetic boutique hotels, perfect for soaking in that old-town charm with a modern twist.
Step 2: Coffee First, Talk Later
Come early morning please. Coffee is mandatory. Walk around and pick any café (there are plenty), order something fancy, and let caffeine kick-start your adventure.
Step 3: Brunch ALARM 🚨
By brunch time, head to the legendary Hidangan Sumber (yes, that’s the name). It’s an old-school bakery serving Dutch-style bread and pastries so good, you might start speaking with a Dutch accent by accident.
Step 4: Strike a Pose!
After that, realise this: Braga is selfie and photobox heaven. But be warned—there will be a queue. Just enjoy the moment and snap some retro photobooth pics because memories fade, but printed evidence lasts forever.
Step 5: Lunchtime Happiness
By now, your stomach will be screaming. No worries—Braga is packed with restaurants, and honestly? You can’t go wrong. Pick anything that calls your name and feast away.
Step 6: Retail Therapy, Braga-Style
Now your tummy got "full tank" situation let's go for another treat. Braga has hidden alleys filled with indie fashion stores, so put on your explorer hat and start hunting for unique pieces.
Step 7: When Night Falls, Braga Howls
As evening comes, Braga gets WILD—like a werewolf summoning its pack. Crowds gather, music plays, and the street turns into a vibrant social hub. A suggestion, don’t miss the street photographers here! These folks are pros—they’ll direct your poses and capture you in aesthetic, cinematic, “I belong in a magazine” shots. Bonus: They’re affordable.
Step 8: Bonus Adventure – Hop on the BANDROS!
Not done yet? Good. There’s more. Head over to the BANDROS tour bus stop (just a short walk from Braga). It’s a cute open-top bus that takes you around Bandung, spilling historical tea about the city along the way.
Wait… Did We Ever Check In to the Hotel?!
Oops. My bad again. Well, I hope you booked that stay in Step 1 because, after this Braga marathon, you will need a soft bed and some good sleep.
Final Verdict? Braga Street is a perfect mix of nostalgia, culture, and chaotic fun. Whether you’re here for the aesthetics, the food, or just to people-watch, it’s a must-visit when in Bandung.
