Read moreI’ve actually wanted to visit this place for a while, and finally made it when I had the chance to stop by Bandung. The place is pretty spacious, with both indoor and outdoor seating areas that are super cozy. The vibe is nice too, they have live music, which makes it a great spot to just hang out and relax with friends.
I ordered the beef shashlik. Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it turned out to be kind of like skewered grilled beef, similar to sate but with bigger chunks of meat. It was pretty good the seasoning was flavorful, and the beef was tender. What I loved most though was the potato wedges that came with it. They were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and honestly didn’t even need any sauce. I also got to try my friend’s spaghetti carbonara, and it was really good too. The creaminess was just right, not too heavy, and it had a nice balance of flavor. I paired it with a mixed healthy juice, which was fresh and tasted great.
The only downside was the service. The waitstaff were a bit slow and not very responsive. Our food took nearly 40 minutes to arrive, and to make it worse, one of the orders got mixed up. I later checked the reviews on Google, and apparently, quite a few people have had the same experience with the service being slow, so at least it wasn’t just us.
The prices are also a bit on the pricey side, but I guess that’s expected since it’s quite a popular spot in the Braga area. Overall, I’d say it’s worth visiting for the atmosphere and the food, but I really hope they work on improving the service because it kinda took away from the...
Read moreBraga Permai is regarded as the most heritage restaurant in Bandung established since 1923. Located at Braga Street, Bandung, this open restaurant has a wide space both indoor and outdoor. Dining here seems like in Bali, where many tourist come in and go.The ambiance will take us back in time to Indonesia's colonial past day. Since this is an European styled restaurant, so that I think it suits to try European food.
Before starting with main dish, they will give each table freely appetizer that consists of pastry, bread, stick, along with cheese cream. All of them tastes good.
Here are what we tried :
Zuppa Zuppa (IDR 45,500) Cream soup with chicken, mushroom, spring onions fully covered with pastry. It has abundant topping. Tastes good and recommended not only by the restaurant, but also by me!
Spaghetti Aglio Olio Meatball (IDR 50,000) At first, we wanted to try Beef Ravioli, but unfortunately this dish was not available. Therefore we tried this menu. Spaghetti Aglio Olio served in a big white plate with garlic, olive oil, beef meatball, and cheddar cheese. Actually, this menu with "light" taste is quite good, but I think it is too "dried" not only for the aglio olio sauce, but also...
