This beach is better than the other beaches in Amed area…It dorsnt stretch that long… You can access it also from Vienna Beach Hotel and use the facilities on the beach like sunbed & hire snorkelling equipment… There are boats that can get you closeer to the Japanese ship wreck… or you may drive/ ride a further 8 km to see the ship wreck not far from the shore and abut 5 to 10 metres under water. For the beach itself, some have reported it was dirty! That could be true on certain circumstances when it is really windy & during storms , the waves bring all sorts of debris $ wastes to the shores, plastic bottles, tree truncks, etc these are from other areas and islands … We have witnessed the same phenomenon in other beaches in Asia like in Boracay or El Nido in the Philippines or Penang in Malaysia..this is addressed by the municipalities as soon as the weather gets better and the wind calm down! Lipah beach is a must visit beach , otherwise one will go back with the impressions that beaches in Amed area are bad! This being said, I believe beaches in the Phippines around El Nido & Boracay scattered close islands are far better than the beaches we have...
Read moreThe corals are a nice experience. Nice photos and a lot of fish to see. But i cannot turn a blind eye on the amount of trash floating in the water. Be aware that you are going to swim by so many plastic and microplastic. There is even some organic stuff on the water that i'm trying to believe it is from the coral (hopefully). It is a mix of paradisr and hell at the same time. Nothing can be beautiful and ugly at the same time. So either you will ignore the trash and be happy or you will feel like me in the "trashadise" So for me, the experience was nasty and sad. The trash comes from offerings people make with plastic cups by the seashore and probably some sewage too. This is the most poluted beach i have ever been. I live in Brazil, did some snorkeling in Greece and Thailand and have never seen such a...
Read moreAmazing place for snorkeling. The reef is fairly healthy and there is incredible diversity in the marine life. At least one turtle lives there (we saw two different turtles) and can usually be found. Lots of beautiful and colorful reef fishes as well, and if you're lucky, octopus, sharks, or other rare creatures.
The beach itself is of finer sand than many of the beaches on the east coast of Bali, so it's more pleasant for walking and kids can play more comfortably than, say, Jemeluk or Tulamben.
We stayed for 3 weeks, went snorkeling with our kids most days. We also snorkelled and dived on other beaches, but Lipah stands out as the best. Really a great place if you enjoy the...
