We stopped into Warung Sabar on recommendation from some friends who have visited the island. When we pulled up to the quaint little restaurant we saw they had their own parking area which was nice for our scooter parking. Walking into the restaurant we noticed beautifully crafted tables and chairs among a cozy atmosphere with lovely plants and garden feel. I ordered the vegetable soup to start because I was in the mood for some comforting soul food. For our entrees we ordered the grilled tuna with Balinese sauce and Babi Kecap. The grilled fish was by far the BEST grilled fish and Balinese sauce I have had during my week on the island. The flavors were bold and complimentary and I wanted more after finishing my whole plate. My partner loved the Babi Kecap and said the flavors were savory and not too spicy. After our meal we ordered some ice cream and the kind owner treated us some taste of the local arak drink. The whole family who works here was kind, inviting and made our entire experience wonderful. They also offer other services for the island including airport transportation, snorkeling trips and other island excursions. If you staying on the east side of the island, do yourself a favor and stop into Warung Sabar for lunch or dinner and I promise you will not be...

The owner and family work very hard and are so kind and welcoming. The restaurant has comfortable seating and is spotless.
This is a small, quaint and very busy restaurant so I recommend you make a reservation, some of the specials need a day-ahead-booking with a deposit. Just DO IT, so worth it!
The flavours are AMAZING, ingredients FRESH and ample portions. Prices are more than fair for the high quality of the food.

Read moreFrom the moment you arrive at this quaint little cliff top establishment you get the feeling you are in for a very special evening. The first thing you notice when seated is the surrounding gardens at the restaraunt certainly giving you a feeling of at ease, comfort, efficiency, tidiness and just to sit back and relax. The menu is extensive, mainly Indonesian with some Western and Asian cuisine as well offered. From entrees of Fish cakes to Lumpia to mains of Seafood curry, Vegetarian fried rice, Sate chicken or Spaghetti Carbonara not one solitary fault. So much so we found room for desserts of Banana split, Banana pancake and Fried Ice cream. Who said the latter was a Chinese speciality? Absolutely perfect here at Warung Sabar. The service was exemplary and although not fast for us perfect to enjoy our meals at a leisurely pace. Finally the price. Warung Sabar you are to be commended. Exceptional value just like Balivilla4u @ Nusa Dua. Regards Pak Peter Ibu...
