Hands down the most immersive escape room that I've ever been to. Without spoiling anything, the room design, mechanics and atmosphere were absolutely incredible. Initially, we only booked the 'Shutter Asylum' room but we were so thoroughly impressed that we decided to do 'El Dorado' as well! It truly felt as though we were in 'Prison Break' and 'Indiana Jones' respectively. The puzzles were fun and can definitely be solved within the 2hrs playtime provided.
Although the premise/ ambience is thrilling, the games are not inherently scary. This is a perfect experience for families looking to solve puzzles with kids/ teens due to the added physical element, while still requiring a good balance of critical thinking. However, I did not try 'Neverland' and 'Coven', which do seem to explore more mature themes, so my experience is limited to 'Shutter Asylum' and 'El Dorado' only.
To top it all off, the game masters and front desk staff were friendly and helpful. They displayed utmost professionalism and patience when explaining things to us, which we are grateful for.
I really couldn't shake off how riveting the whole thing was and was even thinking about the room design on my flight home. To the amateur escapists, this is the ideal experience for getting a taste of what escape rooms can be. To the experienced escapists, Pandora Bali really pushes things to the next level, to make the immersiveness simply unparalleled. Can't wait to be back in Bali again to play the rest...
Read moreWe visited 4 times, completing all the currently available rooms and all of them were fantastic. My wife and I are no stranger to escape rooms having done 30+ and these are up there with the best of them.
The immersion and set design of all the rooms is great and involved some aspects I've not seen in any other rooms. The puzzles were quite challenging and they mostly flowed logically.
Assistance was available via walkie talkie, this worked really well and the help was appreciated and, most importantly, helpful. In fact everyone we interacted with from Pandora Experience was lovely and kind. They give you 2 hours to complete the room although I think it will likely take you a bit less, 1.5 approx.
One area of opportunity would be for some of the props to be reconditioned, they were quite worn and clearly have been used many times. This didn't detract from the game at all though.
For the price you pay, these rooms are excellent value and make a great activity to do if it's raining or unbearably hot outside. All the rooms have an air conditioner in them, it's actually really impressive that every room you enter has a split system blasting lovely cool air.
My caution to everyone is that the warnings about the physical requirements in these rooms are no joke. You will be crawling and climbing in low light.
Overall I strongly recommend these rooms, my wife and I loved them, thank you...
Read moreWe did shutter asylum, this thing is huge, and if you’re not on a roll with clue solving, expect it to take the full two hours to figure this thing out. They give you a storyline in the beginning and the end video tells you how it all came to be, but it’s not really connected with any clues or getting out of there- manage your expectations on this, you’re in a prison setting trying to get out, that’s about as deep as it gets. It’s a “branch” based escape room, not a “string” based one.
The puzzles/clues were clever, however some were kind of weird and didn’t really make sense, but it’s cool when you figure it out still. The biggest complaint we had is that it’s so dark that you literally cannot see or read important clues that are needed to get out of there. It’d be nice if they provided a flashlight or something, because while the darkness does add a layer of complexity for some of the clues, it made other ones virtually unnoticeable and impossible to solve (you’ll see what I mean if you do it). The air conditioning is also not very good, so be prepared to be a bit uncomfortable for the two hours.
Still recommend doing this one, it is clever and the spooky environment adds a small fear layer to the whole thing. Be sure to book tickets in advance via their website and WhatsApp so you don’t show up for no...
