A former quary and training ground for the volunteers in 1916. Home to Lourdes celtic, an athletics club and a venadrom.
When the quary was abandoned HB used to dump ice cream in the pits which according to speculative folk the accumulation of all those nutrients is the reason why the grass there today is so green.
Named after eammon ceannt who had no connection with the area but is proudly claimed by locals for his love of the gael, defiance to the enemies authority and his commitment to a world that could be.
some legends have walked this park from local saints like Jimmy Graham to mentalists like mad Jack coleman.
The walls have been canvases for all the republican groups going back the decades, manys the drugs dealer was threatened on its walls and manys the extreme libertarian counter narrative appeared there also. But you can ride around the velodrome without having internal access. I noticed that they put some picnic tables, I thought it was really nice. I recommend it to the whole family and to anyone who likes a...
