My first day I had breakfast at an expensive overrated place in the SuperValu plaza. I won’t mention the name.

I had 8 breakfasts and 1 dinner at Montos. The staffs attention to detail and hospitality is incredible. Special thanks to Abdul the owner who is extremely passionate about his business. He works just has hard as his employees.

Time and time again I saw the consistency of quality and ability to deliver customized options.

The value and quality are truly one of a kind. I typically “made my own breakfast” which consisted of 3 bacon, 2 eggs toast and beans all For under 10€.

The bacon is grilled not fried and is absolutely a treat. The dinner we had consisted of steak, pasta, Turkey and ham all were incredible. The Turkey and ham meals came with your choice of various handmade desserts.

If you’re reading this far, don’t debate attending any other local breakfast place without trying Montos first.

Once you walk through the door, you really feel like family.

I ordered a family meal for delivery for Montos Restaurant, Sundrive. The order cost nearly €100 and arrived over 2 hours later (on a Monday!!).

Overall, the food was bland and lacked seasoning and flavour. The lasagne was palatable. I ordered the Penne Al' Arrabbiata with Chicken, which was the worst I've ever had. The chicken was questionable - dry and had a very strange texture for chicken. The arrabbiata sauce was poor, and they went way too heavy on the oil, which gave it a poor consistency. Chips were soggy and tastless... and also had a random, fried mushroom in one of the bags! Banoffee portions were ordered to share - they were tiny and arrived squashed in the boxes. Taste was okay, although they were very light on the banana.

Far from restaurant quality, it's more like a chipper. Maybe it's a better experience if you visit in-person... maybe the head and sous chefs had a night off when we ordered. Who knows. One thing for sure is that the delivery experience did not meet expectations. Our family was very disappointed...
