Decided to try out Mulan as it’s local to me and has only opened recently. Ordered for collection online one main - honey sesame chicken, and prawn crackers. Said the order would take 40mins which I was surprised by, so tried to call and number just went to voicemail immediately every time. get there , it’s jammers, so I understand the wait, still confused about the number not working though as they were taking plenty of calls. I waited about 10minutes to even get to the counter as there was only one woman at the till for orders and phone and collection, with no designated spaces. Takes 55mins total before mine is ready, which considering they were so busy is fine, but the food was no good. Literally chicken in honey - no veg, barely any sesame seeds. I’ve had this dish in several establishments and in south east asia…. And I’ve never been severed chicken in plain honey. It was far too sickly to eat. All the other orders were for spice bags so maybe I’ll give that ago, but pretty disappointing first try. Prawn crackers were nice at least. Update: they kindly gave me a €10 voucher to try something else. I decided to try the spice bag, was a good portion, decent seasoning, and great chicken. The seasoning has paprika in it I think which is interesting, not my favourite spice bag but I was impressed by the delivery time, the chips still being crispy and the amount and quality of the chicken. I would usually ask for extra seasoning in other chineses but it’s not necessary here. Good service, would consider ordering again.

I had a positive experience ordering from Mulan in Kimmage and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good Chinese takeaway. The interior is spacious and clean with a few seats which is a bonus for a takeaway only place. The staff are lovely and I wasn’t waiting long for my order to be completed. I ordered the mulan spice bag and it was superb. They add chicken balls to the spice bag which is a nice bonus and the portion size is big. It wasn’t overly salty either compared to a lot of spice bags from other Chinese takeaways.

I found this new gem nearby and couldn’t be happier! The staffs are so friendly and welcoming. The store is clean and food is amazing! I tried the dry hot spicy bag, and it’s the best I’ve ever had. The flavor is unique, the ingredients are fresh, and the portions are generous. It’s great value for money. I highly recommend Mulan and will definitely visit again!!!!!

Delighted this place has opened and it is very busy. Delicious food and great service, they remember their customers and are happy to tailor dishes to suit. I love a spicy crispy duck fried rice and they are only too happy to make this especially without any extra charge!

(Whereas another nearby takeaway nearby would make you pay for Aromatic Duck & a fried rice for almost 50% extra even if you were a loyal customer for years! They’ve lost my custom now and I’ll always choose Mulan instead)

Highlights include the duck fried rice and their salt & chilli ribs are...

Ordered from here for the first time yesterday evening and got what has to be one of the best spice bags I ever had. I ordered the tofu spice bag and it was nothing short of incredible. Everything was perfectly seasoned and not too greasy, and the tofu was the best I ever had in a spice bag, a little crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The curry sauce was also a big hit. Also, I was very impressed by the delivery bag the food came in, as it was pipping hot, and the delivery was very fast too.

I can't wait to order from here...
