Capri — Restaurant in Dublin

Not sure what the staff’s problem was, but I called at 4:49 today to place an order for collection. The guy who answered sounded like he didn’t want to be there. I started giving my order item by item, but he stayed completely silent — it felt like I was talking to empty air. I asked, “Sorry, did you get that?” and he just snapped, “YES,” in a really rude tone.

I then asked him to repeat the order, because from my own experience working in restaurants, I had a feeling he’d gotten something wrong — and sure enough, he had missed an item. Before I could even ask to pay, he hung up. I called back and was told to just pay on collection, even though I’ve always paid over the phone (usually with the friendly girl who works there), as my housemate usually goes to collect it.

At that point, he called out “Christy!” — presumably his colleague — and I just hung up before he came back on the line. If you hate your job that much, maybe it’s time to leave.

Hey Capri owner(s), it might be worth checking in on what’s happening with your staff/standards. Based on recent reviews and experiences like this, you’re at risk of losing...

Got a take out for myself and the partner only a day ago, we got fresh cod meal with a curry dip and a quarter pounder with cheese. It was probably the worse food we have ever had, first there was I’m not sure why it was but it wasn’t cod and the batter was a half an inch thick with pure grease, The chips looked they were refried several times, the Quarter pounder was threw in the bin straight away after the first bite and was cold. Not only that… we were up sick during the night, I wasn’t feeling well with awful pains in my stomach. This chipper charged me 20 Euros for that rubbish that made us sick and couldn’t eat. I’ve a good mind to report these to the health and safety authority. I never even want to hear the name of that chipper again “Capri” on the sundrive road. Yous made us sick and we had no food for the rest of the day. I’d advise people to stay...

Good food, horrible service. I know it's a chipper but the attitude of the man who answered the phone was just horrible. Tried using the app, error on page and it took the money so called to check the order went through. Called to ask, he didn't care just asked for mobile number...gave mine by accident then realised I gave the wrong one said could I give another he was smart saying give 1 not 3...then when I asked did an order go through since the app took the money, he said no. Brief silence to him asking if you order now cash on delivery, I just said no thanks and hung up. I wish I could explain it better but I've never had that kind of attitude or unhelpfulness...we usually order here with no problem though it is online. I'd recommend...
