The First Station is an old railway station. The place is easily reachable with both public transportation like Egged and South Bus service. From the city center ( Jaffa Center) actually a pleasant walking distance. About 15 minutes walk . From Jaffa Gate too it is walkable distance. The main attraction of the place is it is open throughout the week including Shabbat. Of course there are Kosher shops that are not working on Shabbat. A handful of coffee shops, artist places, bars, public toilets and hotels are there. The main attraction of the place is they have a huge wonderful stage for public and entertainment events and it is free of charge. Anyone in the arena can enjoy the events while having their coffee or beer. There is also a big parking lot sometimes it is converted for a big show stage. Also electric charge points are available in the parking lot. Such a progressive thinking administration. Opposite of the railway station is Bible Hill, a place in the middle of the city where you can just go up for a short hiking. From here the view of old city walls are amazing. Early Morning View of sunrise from here is really picture sequence. The full area is well kept. If you are a walking lover, just taking a walk through the old railway line is something you...
Read moreGreat location with amazing restaurants and surprisingly bumper cars and even a merry-go-round. If you keep kosher be aware that not all of the restaurants keep kosher so make sure you ask them if they are kosher. I have gone multiple times and by far my favorite restaurant is the pasta bar, and though it falls on the more pricey restaurants I have been to since coming here on my gap year it is firmly planted in its place as my favorite restaurant in Jerusalem. I will have to try some of the other items on the menu but I fell in love with the pesto pasta I had there it is by far the best I have had in Israel. The restaurant next door is also pricey (for a college student) and to be completely honest not worth the it unlike it's neighbor, I had the Alfredo there two days ago and it was to be quite honest bland. The food was plentiful but it was far too dry for my liking. In addition to having my favorite restaurant in Jerusalem and having bumper cars, the first station has weekly "Disco" dance parties. I attended last Saturday and had a blast, I put Disco in quotes because while it was a dance party none of the songs scream "Disco". Disregarding that it was a really fun experience and one that I highly recommend doing when...

It’s great to see all types of Israeli cultures come together and have a good time in one place. Not only every culture, but every age group, too.
The low rating is because the place is dirty and unkempt. They should have someone sweep the place everybody hour.
The food here is surprisingly expensive: 6 dim sum dumplings for ₪38 (about $12, June 2022). And they are the frozen kind.
The coffee at Akhmizan, though, is terrific! The barista is friendly, experienced and cares about coffee.
The bathroom situation is atrocious! They don’t have proper circulation, and are either missing toilet paper, soap or both. The stench is horrendous. I tried desperately not to touch anything.
Other than drinking beer, there are no adult entertainment or activities.
Otherwise, it’s a nice place to meet someone and go for a walk along the old...
