Beautiful gardens. Free entry and open to anyone. Lots of benches and areas to pray and ponder. If you walk from the top of the gardens to the exit gate at the bottom of the hill, the Church of All Nations (Gethsemane) is a three minute walk.

Quiet garden contrasts sharply with the tourist bustle at 'Gethsemane,' a few hundred feet down the street. If you're looking for a quieter, more reflective moment on the Mount of Olives, this is the place. Come in a group and during daytime.

Our bus dropped us off at the top of the Orson Hyde Memorial Garden in May of 2019. It would have been a hard walk up from the Garden of Gethsemane, but coming down the other way was truly delightful. The elegant native plants, the glimpses of the Old City, the meandering stone walkway, and some rare time to contemplate Jesus’s Atonement and nearby suffering made this hour my favorite of all the Holy Land experiences. Somewhere near the bottom of the memorial garden our beloved Savior prayed and bled for us all. I came to realize that even I had spiritual real estate in this divine place. It was a striking thought of pinnacle...

Great view of the Old City and a place to feel a bit out of the noise of the city. For Christian pilgrims it can be a more inviting setting to contemplate the Garden of Gethsemane as it is outside of the much more congested Church of All Nations. It can be a nice place to walk, but it is better to stick to the morning, or afternoon, after dark it can sometimes feel a bit dangerous. Overall,...

We walked down the trail starting at the end of the road by the BYU Jerusalem Center. The trail signs are well marked. Just don't turn off the road/path until you see a sign. At the sign that shows turning to Gethsemane, there is a steep, rutted road leading to the back gate of the park. We were there in the day time. It was a peaceful, beautiful place to contemplate the view of...
