Our bus dropped us off at the top of the Orson Hyde Memorial Garden in May of 2019. It would have been a hard walk up from the Garden of Gethsemane, but coming down the other way was truly delightful. The elegant native plants, the glimpses of the Old City, the meandering stone walkway, and some rare time to contemplate Jesus’s Atonement and nearby suffering made this hour my favorite of all the Holy Land experiences.
