My husband and I were staying in Cisternino and visited a local wine shop to stock our AirBnB. The gentleman at the store recommended a bottle of Vineka's Somaro IGT and when we tasted it we fell in love. After scanning the QR code on the label, we found the winery was local to where we were staying and so I decided to call them and see if they could squeeze us in for a tasting on our last day in Puglia. To my surprise, Milda and Guglielmo - the owners of the winery - were so very accommodating and were able to book us in for a lunchtime tasting. It ended up being one of our favorite experiences in Puglia, and certainly our favorite wine of the trip (and that's saying a lot, because we loved all the wine we tasted in Puglia!). Milda led us through a guided tour and tasting of their lovely wines, plus some delicious cheeses and snacks that complemented the flavors beautifully. We ended up taking a bottle of their truly special orange wine to our next stop in Positano, where we enjoyed it on our balcony and once again marveled at its spectacular flavor. I can't recommend a visit to Cantina Mir highly enough. We are looking forward to ordering some of their wine to enjoy here at home in the states soon. Milda is a lovely and thoughtful human and she and her partner are crafting something very special in the Itria Valley. Pay them a visit and you won't be disappointed!

We came as a group of nine and did the wine tasting, paired with a generous selection of snacks. The staff was knowledgeable and welcoming, we learned a lot about their wines and the region. The service was excellent, and both the wine and food were high quality. A truly memorable experience. Highly recommended!

Superba degustazione di vini di propria produzione, accompagnata da buonissime specialità locali! Consigliatissimo per chi vuole conoscere i vini del territorio. I vini sono di altissima qualità,eccellenti! La passione che anima questi giovani ragazzi viene subito percepita nel loro racconto, dalla scelta di produrre vino di alta qualità con uve autoctone e tecniche innovative e antiche. Una scelta coraggiosa che merita assolutamente! È un viaggio attraverso una piccola ma bellissima cantina, una buonissima degustazione di vini con la loro storia e i vari processi di fabbricazione, i loro vini sono sorprendenti, così come il loro percorso! Il tutto accompagnato dalla gentilezza, accoglienza e passione di Milda che ci ha fatto da guida in questo bel viaggio!grazie per questa esperienza stupenda!

We had a wine tasting to remember! And some of the best wines we’ve ever tasted. From the moment we arrived, we felt like we were at home (and we traveled from the states). This stop was unforgettable for us. The tasting and experience was thoughtful, relaxed, and full of laughs. An absolute highlight of our trip—highly recommended! We were helped by Patrizia and her warmth, personality, hospitality, and great sense of humor created a welcoming and fun atmosphere. We will come back to Puglia to specifically visit...
