An unexpected and spontaneous stop in this cute museum ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. The family that runs this little museum is so friendly and welcoming and they went out of their way to explain to us the history of the fishing boat design and manufacturing in Syracuse. If you have any interest in history or boating or the ocean I highly recommend visiting!!

This museum shares a family experience, with genuine tools and excellent models. Had a brief guided tour in adequate English. And free - although we gave money and would encourage it.

Closed the several times we tried to visit, with no notice or explanation, despite posted opening times. It’s just so sad. We so wanted to love Sicily, but this is indicative of the whole place. Just a mess. The hotels, the cruise ships and buses dumping bewildered pensioners on corners, with the occasional good restaurant or shop struggling to survive amidst poorly cooked, overpriced food and tacky junk...
