This is a beautiful hike but it is a more challenging one; there are much less people on this hike as it is not an easy hike. We did the hike from Corniglia to Manorala which I think is probably the hard way to go based on the path, incline and gravel stone path on the Corniglia side. On the Manorala side there's a large series of steps which makes it a little bit easier.

There is a small town that is close to the middle point of the hike between Corniglia and Manorala that you can fill your water bottle or stop and grab a coffee or bite to eat.

The best view that you will find is close to the mid point of the hike which is beautiful making the hike worthwhile! This hike will likely take people 2 - 2.5hours and be careful as some parts of the hike are narrow and right next to...

Super fun, great hike. I do feel that the internet makes it sound easier than it is. Some places were challenging with where ti step and the surfaces were pretty difficult to navigate too. The path markings were great and it felt like you cannot get lost (which I cannot emphasize enough is a great thing). Beyond that, it was worth every penny. The views were amazing and so is the sense of accomplishment when you hike down the final flight of stairs.

The one bad thing I have to say is that there was a part of the hike that was unavailable, which is from Manarola to Corniglia. This is supposed to be fixed by 2026-2028 but since I went in 2025 and am posting this in 2025, this is relevant.

10/10 would suggest to anyone who...

In my opinion, the most beautiful path in the Cinque Terre. longest but most picturesque. Spectacular views guaranteed! it's better to start from the Manarola side - the approach to Volastra is steep in places (lots of stairs but not very steep) but you can avoid it by taking a bus from Manarola to Volastra. from Volastra the route is almost always flat with breathtaking views. only at the end of the route, on the descent to Cornnila, the route becomes steep and uncomfortable. the climb up from Cornnila is much worse than the one from Manarola so it's better to start from the other side. The whole route took us 2h20 minutes at...

Wow. Loved this walk so much. I did it in just under 2 hours but also at 7am when it was quite cool. Definitely recommend starting from Manarola direction as the steps are well formed whereas the climb out of Corniglia is quite rocky and uneven- easier to descend. Was a good walk as you climbed up quite high for the first 30-40mins then enjoyed a flat walk with amazing views throughout the grapevines before a slow descent. Very well signposted.
