Excellent place to people/dog watch (the wife saw 6 dogs walk by), so yeah.
The service was excellent as we had a rather sassy server (she could of owned the place) but more impressive is that she was running around getting to everyone without breaking a sweat. I sweated just sitting and eating and drinking the wine.
The wife got the ravioli, which unfortunately for me she didn’t leave any for me to finish off for her.
I got the pizza with prosciutto. I love prosciutto as much as the next person, but this pizza didn’t even need it. It was crispy, cheesy and very well seasoned. It reminded me of (and this is going to sound insulting but it way isn’t) coming home from a long night of drinking (and again this is a compliment) and devouring one of those Zesty Celeste pizzas (but this pizza was much larger). Read moreFor the location of the restaurant it is a very good choice. Breakfast here is definitely 5 stars. Great cappucino, espresso, good pastries and even an offering of American style eggs and bacon if you're tired of the sweeter italian breakfasts.
They have an adorable cat that lives around the restaurant and is very friendly. She spent a lot of time cuddling up to diners for bits of pastries and pats. If you permit her she will sneak onto your lap and nap there if given the option.
Dinner was a little lackluster but not unexpected given the setup. Pesto gnocchi was comfortable though not spectacular. The ragu pasta was hearty and tasty, not special. The margherita pizza was also on the same level. Everything was comfort food level, just not top tier restaurant level. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
