📍 Oratorio dei Disciplinati di Santa Caterina – Corniglia, Cinque Terre, Italy 🇮🇹 A small and peaceful oratory ⛪ just behind Corniglia’s main square. The façade is simple, but inside you’ll find frescoes 🎨, crucifixes ✝️, and processional relics that reflect the village’s history and devotion. From the terrace nearby, there are lovely views of the Ligurian coast 🌊, making it a quiet spot to pause away from the busy streets. Not a major tourist attraction, but a charming hidden gem if you enjoy art and local heritage. 🙌

What a beautiful church, inside and out...with a wonderful bench out front for resting your tired feet while you heal your soul. The courtyard and bench overlooking the Plaza is just so relaxing. An excellent viewing point behind the church too...with a tiny futbol pitch for the youngsters. Don't miss that. We spent about an hour here resting peacefully among the locals, with the sounds of the sea below us. Awesome spot.

Se encuentra situado en la placita de Largo Taragio, habiendo sido erigido durante el siglo XVIII como lugar de culto para la confraternidad de discípulas de Santa Catalina de Alejandría, asociación religiosa fundada a finales de la Edad Media en Sestri Levante. Presenta una modesta fachada con tejado a dos aguas, en la que sobresale un rosetón situado sobre la puerta. El interior es muy austero, conservando en la bóveda un fresco del siglo XVIII que representa el martirio de Santa Catalina de Alejandría. También podemos ver dos estandartes procesionales así como un Crucificado del siglo XVI, un par de figuras de la Virgen, de los siglos XVIII y XX, y dos lienzos: La Piedad y La Presentación de María al Templo con San Juan Bautista, ambas del siglo XVIII. En la parte posterior de la iglesia se abre una plaza desde la que podemos disfrutar de unas magníficas vistas de la costa de Cinque Terre.
