Despite reading several reviews that said the beach was not anymore accessible or hard to access, I've decided to try to get to it anyways. The entrance point is not at the point where Google Maps guides you to. Taking the path from Corniglia to Vernazza you have to go for about 1km. At some point you pass the suggested end of Google Maps for a trip to the beach. From there you have to walk still a bit until you cross a Narrow concrete bridge. After that once the fence on the left side of the walkway stops the path down to the beach starts by first going back a bit. The path quite steep at the beginning and you have to really pay attention to where you step to. It's even a bit dangerous. The whole way down takes about 30-40 and about the same the way up again. The beach itself is not very big and has bigger stones to lay on. It's not very easy to get into the water as there's big stones at the beginning and most of the time strong and big waves. But generally the beach is very nice and secluded, I can recommend it for people who like...
Read moreThe reviews here really helped me to find my path! It’s very adventurous and I loved it 😍 It was a bit difficult on the last few meteres with my dog to climb down with the help of the rope but it did work out and we had a lovely beach day. I arrived at 10am and it was totally empty. When I left around 2 pm there were a few people but still very calm and quiet. Can definitely recommend to come here if you are confident with hiking single trails and don’t fear a Little bit of steep, rope supported sections at the end of the trail. I’ll definitely come back! I can recommend to start the trail in Corniglia, then go down off the train to the beach and when you are done enjoying a nice day at the beach you can hike back up to the 5terre trail and continue to Vernazza to have Dinner there 😍
Only drawback is that while there are pebbles on the beach, there are huge rocks inside the shallow water so watch out for...
Read moreIt's about a 30 minute steep hike down from the main Corniglia- Vernazzo trail to a bluff that's a good 50 feet (I guess) above the beach. There is a rope of some sort you have to use to lower yourself down and get back up the bluff. There were only 2 or 3 couple's sunning themselves (nude) on the small mostly rocky beach. It looked dicey to us though we watched a young couple do it. We didn't think it was worth the risk since in case of injury, it would be difficult to get help and get it of there. One couple evidently came via kayak so that may be the best thing to do. The path down from the main (blue) trail is about 15 minutes out of Corneglia. Look for blue arrows painted on the trail pointing the way down. As you start down and really the whole way on the path there are many signs saying Guvano Beach so at least it's well marked. But all in all I have to say it is not...
