The Night Sakura 🌸 was nothing short of extraordinary. Around 1,000 cherry blossom trees were beautifully illuminated, with the Fukuoka Castle providing a stunning backdrop at Maizuru Park. Beautiful wide open spaced park, in spring you can see the listeria bloom n it’s quite beautiful. There is also the ruins and battlements of the castle here although it is no longer a complete castle. Many locals visit this park for walks, jogging, picnics or just walking their pets. It’s ideal for a refreshing morning stroll or a relaxing evening walk before dinner. There is a small lake at its edge n refreshments (coffee/tea/drinks/cakes/sandwiches etc can be obtained from a cafe there. Next to the cafe are public toilets which are nice and clean. Well recommended if you are staying within the vicinity to escape the busy city and noisy traffic. Makes for a great change to relax at this park and take some time off from your busy schedule...
