I recognised this French restaurant because it was located in a church-like complex and was reputed. We chose “Carte Blanche”. I expected detailed elegance with taste and presentation. Starting from the interior decoration, I found it traditionally Japanese classical western. Neither modern nor tacky. When we sat down, there was a Hermès plate in front of each of us, just for display. It was taken away after the amuse-bouche. The presentation of the food was good but the taste of the food did not bring much surprise to my taste buds. Don’t misinterpret me. The food was good in taste and the cooking skills were great. But the taste was within my expectation. The combination of different materials/textures did surprise but not on the good terms. And the portion was huge. The price was not high. But I expected surprising taste with elegance portion so that the taste would linger in the air after I finished one dish. We pre-ordered one of three tasting menu options and were not disappointed.
Every dish presented had the depth of flavor of its ingredients. Everything was worthy of the Iron Chef, but the lobster mousse deserves special mention. The mousse was exquisite as well as the lobster consommé en gelee. It was simply flawless.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We certainly appreciated the skills of the chefs and the care that went to the preparation of that meal. The staff couldn’t be more attentive, accommodating and professional. They truly enhanced the experience of dining at such a wonderful restaurant.

We chose the "Carte Blanche" course and it was really worth the price. The team working that night in this very nice-looking restaurant, was really friendly, trying their best to accommodate us.
