Large collection of shops selling a range of Japanese souvenirs and craft goods. Of particular note are a shop that sells goods dyed with squid sepia ink, and shops with leather crafts or Japanese fabric crafts. Nice area to spend an afternoon, and the buildings are also attractive.

Awesome place to take pictures, stop for some food, eat some desserts, enjoy the atmosphere, shop for anything & everything, and you even get free WiFi! Fun place to roam around especially when the weather isn’t so good like it was today. And it’s great to take pictures outside!

One of the must-visit in Hakodate. We drove from Sapporo and parked our car at one of the tram station (Chuo-byoin-mae) away from the CBD and bought a 600yen 1-day pass to venture into the city. The pass was bought on the tram, just ask the driver when alight. We parked the car away from the CBD for fear the difficulty in finding car park in the crowded area. It works out well. I gave the red brick 3 stars because the warehouse is basically a souvenir arcades and I get bored after 30mins.

The layout of the place is a bit confusing but it's definitely a cool place to visit. They have mals located on most entrances so you know where you are. There are little shops in super old brick buildings with little cafes too.

This place is kind of a unique place. It was an abandoned warehouse area and they turned it into a shopping area and became a tourist attraction. If you are in the area, definitely must visit this red brick warehouse.

這裡是我們參觀的第二個館，店家數量與購物人潮確實遠大於隔壁「函館ヒストリープラザ」，主要原因是銷售產品的樣態分佈比較廣且種類多樣性不同，而隔壁的館則以特色商品為主。 入館後停留比較久的商店以「館洋菓子 スナッフルス」與「函館煉瓦工場 金森赤レンガ倉庫店」這兩家讓我們印象最深刻，來到北海道的甜品店不論是第一天所吃到「プティ・メルヴィーユ 函館駅前店」或是第二家品嘗「六花亭 五稜郭店」與這家甜點店都有一個共同特色，就是奶香濃郁起司味口感綿密。 特別是「スナッフルスのプリンとろりんこ」與這次前往的「小岩井ファームキッチン」有相似的口感，另外店中的「チーズオムレット」與 「チーオムプリン」也是主打熱銷商品。 「チーズオムレット」有多種口味可以選擇，結帳時只要選取冷藏櫃上的口味卡牌前往櫃台結帳即可，商品採用冷藏方式外帶有提供保冷袋，口感上類似「蒸しパン」與「半熟カステラ」的組合，但更加濕潤。 另一款 「チーオムプリン」是兩種明星商品的結合，可以選擇現場使用或外帶，也是不錯的選擇。另外一家「函館煉瓦工場 」主要以各種造型「沖繩赤瓦」杯墊或擴香片及居家餐具的「皿」為主，「沖繩赤瓦」的吸水性在旁邊的噴瓶測試下效果確實不錯，只是沒有和常見的「珪藻土」相比所以不知吸水率的個中差異為何？ 館中參觀與購物的人相當多,商品販售商店也各有特色，是三個館中觀光客人潮最多的地點。
