Family wanted something warm for the cold weather after coming down from Mount Hakodate and we chanced upon this small eatery. It was empty and we were sceptical when we arrived but the chef proved us wrong. We ordered one corn butter miso and one house premium and our minds were blown away. The soup were fantastic and the premium one came with an additional oomph of seafood flavor. Even my daughter who has problem finishing her food ate everything and finished the soup till the last drop. A well hidden gem that I will definitely return if I come back to Hakodate again. PS: Did not take any picture before eating since it was deemed rude in Japanese culture, but sharing a picture post-eating instead.

Price was unbelievably low compared to US (thanks in part to the exchange rate -- but even if the yen were 1:1 on par with the cent, it would still be a bargain!).

Around JR Hakodate station you'll easily get similar or even better ramen for 800Y. But maybe it's indeed just the location and high rent, so the owner has to sell his ramen with a higher price tag.
