We stayed in the Deluxe Twin Room for one night, with the breakfast buffet included. The price on the hotel website was about 20% less expensive than the third party travel websites, and I was even able to select a high floor with a view. This hotel is about a 15 minute walk from Hakodate Station, though because the road was slippery from the snow, it took us about 20 minutes. There is also a bus that runs from Hakodate station to the hotel. It is about a five minutes ride, though the bus departs infrequently. The room interior has an intriguing design, which is a mix of Japanese and Western styles. Our room was on the 11th floor and also had a view of Mt. Hakodate. Not much was visible at night, but it was beautiful in the morning. Although I appreciated the interior design, I think the room was quite dark and could’ve been better illuminated. The bed and pillows were not very comfortable, I was tossing and turning all night trying to get comfortable. The linens in the room were a bit old and worn out, these need to be replaced. There are various free beverage machines throughout the hotel including coffee and nutritional juice. There were also paid vending machines for bottled beverages. They also have free noodles late at night, though I did not take advantage of this amenity. This hotel is supposedly quite famous for their seafood breakfast buffet, but it was a little bit underwhelming for me. Although it is unique to offer seafood, I felt like the quality and variety was disappointing.

This hotel is for the whole experience, onsen, the breakfast buffet, and relaxing time. The room was very spacious for two people and we had an amazing view of Hakodate mountain. The onsen was very relaxing with the after onsen room equipped with an ice cream freezer which is perfect to enjoy the view and to relax. The breakfast was a little chaotic - I understand why they say queue 30 mins before it opens because by the time we were leaving the place the queue was massive. It was a great selection of food and we didn’t have enough stomach capacity to try all the food on offer. The other annoying thing was the massage and the spa. When we tried to book on the day there was no availability except for a limited option of foot massage. If advertising the massage/spa perhaps better to have more availability for on the day booking. After all, this place is not cheap at all, and whilst it has an amazing view, spacious room, good location, and good breakfast, I am not sure if it’s one that meets the expectation of the price tag. At the price range, everything should be perfect.

Come here for the whole experience. The buffet breakfast, the onsen, the service. The rooms are getting a little dated, but everything else was wonderful. Head down early for breakfast, as at around 9am, the servings get cut down in half. Refills of breakfast items also slow down. Loved the make-your-own kaisen-don, pile on as much or as little sashimi, roe, rice as you’d like. Try different types of soy sauce. Have grilled fish and scallop for breakfast. The spread is wide, but so are the queues. We queues to get into the dining hall, and then queues again to fill up our breakfast tray. Validate your parking ticket at the reception. Enjoy the onsen, with many variations available. Body wash, shampoo and conditioner were provided. Different types of hair oil to try as well. Body lotion also provided. The hairdryers at the onsen area were more powerful than the one provided in the room. Free popsicles and pomegranate juice provided after your onsen.

This was by far our favorite place on our trip! We stayed here for 2 nights and had to book really early as it is usually quite fully booked. It's about a 10 minute walk from JR Hakodate station and a further 10 to 15 minute walk to the Mt Hakodate Ropeway. It's also right next to the Bay shopping area. We got a room facing the Bay area, relatively rustic feel but well maintained. Beds and pillows were comfortable. There is an attached toilet. Really enjoyed the onsen on the top floor. Multiple pools and good shower facilities. The dressing room is also well stocked. The highlight was the morning breakfast! Lots of good food, first time I've seen a predominantly Japanese spread for buffet breakfast. There are shuttle buses to the JR Hakodate station, but have to sign up for a seat at the reception before hand. In all, we really enjoyed our stay here

A fairly far walking distance from Hakodate station but worth the walk through the 3 big markets , very enjoyable morning market places, genuine natural onsen provided on the 13rd floor with free popsicles provided after hot spring to cool you down , services are excellent, room not too roomy but big enough, good view facing south, price is reasonable, a very nice kaiten sushi restaurant called Marukatsu sushi situated right across offers excellent fresh & tasty sushi which I highly recommended, anyhow the hotel breakfast is 2019 numbered 2 in Japan with both excellent Japanese & western foods , lots of local visitors as well , I highly recommended this hotel .

If you’re visiting Hakodate, really recommend this place to stay, especially if you are driving - there’s free parking for guests. And most importantly the view is incredible, every morning I wake up with the seagulls sounds it is very peaceful and relaxing. The hotel staff are very friendly, we want to say thank you to the front desk girl - she is very helpful and nice, even though she was not familiar with English, she tried to communicate with us via Google translate. Appreciate her attitude a lot!! The breakfast buffet is impressive too, sashimi is very fresh and my boyfriend got two big bowls haha!! My instagram profile @couplebilibala
