So happy to have tried this onsen!! The owners are super kind and friendly. Even as a foreigner, they were curious and tried to talk to me and make questions! You need to bring your own towels, shampoo and the like but they sell also the stuff for reasonable price. But they indeed have Hair dryer for women;-) I have two tattoos and it seemed that this didn't disturb them at all. It is clean and comfy. so happy 😊 I'll definitely come back during my stay...

カゴンマと言えば温泉ですね。 鹿児島中央駅から徒歩10分内にある地元の方々にも愛されてる(専用名札などがあるから)源泉掛け流し銭湯のみょうばんの湯。 やはり人気だからこそ、お昼過ぎから女湯は賑わっていました。 お湯の温度は上段の湯船がおおよそ5152℃ぐらいで熱々です。中段から4548℃、1番下の段は42℃~ぐらいでしょうか。 浴室は木材を使用した床でとても温もりのある、心地よい空間です。早朝6時からやっているので、朝風呂にもオススメかと！

Kagoshima is famous for its Onsen (Hot springs) and worth to visit if you are there. The Myouban Yu is located within 10min. walk from Kagoshima central station and it’s also popular to the locals since there are locker keys with the tag s🏷️ of regular customers. The water of this Sentō (public bath) flows directly from the source. It is so popular that the women’s bath was almost full at lunch time.

The bathtub is divided in 3 levels, the first bathtub is about 51-52 ℃, the second is about 45-48℃, the lowest level is 42℃~. The floors of the bathroom is made out of wood and it gives a very nice warm atmosphere. This bath house is open from 6am, so it’s worth to visit in the morning to start off...

鹿児島中央駅近くの泉質の良い温泉です。 水温は、高めなのでかなり温まります。 真冬に行ったのでとても満足できた。 また鹿児島に行ったら立ち寄りたい温泉。 やっぱり鹿児島は、温泉のレベルは、日本一。 どこに行っても温泉あるから毎日温泉が楽しめるからいいですね。 少しでもお役に立てる情報でしたらいいね押してくださいね。

It is a hot spring with good quality near Kagoshima Chuo Station. The water temperature is high, so it gets quite warm. I went there in the middle of winter so I was very satisfied. If you go to Kagoshima again, you should stop by the hot springs. After all, Kagoshima has the highest level of hot springs in Japan.
