金沢城公園から、近江町市場へ徒歩で向かう為河北門を出て、新丸広場の芝生を横切り、黒門を出たところに旧高峰家はあります。和風建築と洋館が一体となった造りに目を引かれ、覗いてみました。黒門側から入る門には黒門前緑地と標記されていた。この地は、前田利家公の四女豪姫が暮らし、晩年を過ごしたとの案内があった。建物の正面にまわってみると、旧高峰家・旧検事正官舎と標記されていた。茶室造りと、アドレナリン・タカジアスターゼの研究者高峰譲吉博士ゆかりの家を移築し、旧官舎の一部と合わせて保存されているとのこと。中は見学せずに、近江町市場へ急いだ。

Absolutely loved. If you are looking a big thing what everybody goes to see that is not for you. Myself I like visiting places where not everyone goes, where you can interact with a stuff and feel more cultural than just observe. Zen garden is beautiful, and inside of the house it’s simple but still gives an idea of middle class...
