There’s a bridge that you have to pass before getting to the gate . The bridge connects you to this gate from Kenrokuen Garden. And when you enter this gate ,you can decide to just walk through the park to Omicho market.

The castle itself wasn't my style as it is too 'narrow', and this make the castle not as cool as other castle IMO. Also the garden aside from the castle was kind of dull.
