Gangukan (Japanese Folk Toys Museum) — Attraction in Kurashiki

I absolutely loved this museum. The owner told me that it was his and his father's personal collection. Because it's a small private museum there are few English descriptions, but there are visual displays that help to make sense of it. The thousands of paper toys inside are incredibly diverse and colourful, as much works of art as anything else. A nice little museum with a ton of dolls, figures, classic toys, games, and displays. It also has a large wooden top, which was used for a Guinness record breaking. Stunning gallery, it was hard to express just how much stuff was in each of the rooms, even if they were small. A person can spend lots of time engrossed in every detail, not to mention the rich history showcased. Recommended and a good price for those who appreciate arts...
