Kurashiki Coffee-kan — Restaurant in Kurashiki

One of those quaint coffee shops. You know they are going for the rustic vibe if the place looks run down but the toilet looks like a 5-star hotel.

Everyone says the Queen of Amber / Kohaku is the bomb. Let it be said in the history books that there was never a king in this place. Straight up fire. Drink is smoother than a baby’s bottom.

I ordered the “Amber Queen” coffee which is a seasonal coffee that’s only available from October to June and it’s the best coffee I’ve ever had. It was rich, not astringent and had the perfect balance of sweetness and bitterness. It was so good, I came back the next day and had two cups of it.
