The freshly-steamed manjuu were a revelation. The steaming really brings out the flavour of the an, which is not too sweet. The coffee was also great - truly specialty coffee standard.

大手まんぢゅうが好きで、オープン以来ずっと行ってみたかったお店。営業日と営業時間が限られているので、この度やっと訪れることができました。 店内は手前が物販、奥がイートインスペースです。 先会計で入口のところまで人が並んでいましたが、意外と奥行きがあり回転率も悪くないようですんなり座ることができました。 季節限定の蒸したて栗まんぢゅうセットは大手まんぢゅう＋岡山の栗を使ったおまんぢゅうのセット。大手まんぢゅう専用焙煎珈琲は他の大手まんぢゅう直営店や岡山駅でドリップバッグを見たことがあったのですが、今回初めていただきました。これが酸味が少なくほろ苦でコクがあって、大手まんぢゅうにとてもよく合いました。 蒸したてまんぢゅうは皮がもちもち。私は家でレンチンすることもありますが、蒸すとあんこがよりしっとり仕上がり、皮もパサつかないようです。 店内も、絵画や小物まで大手まんぢゅう尽くしで楽しめます。美観地区周遊の休息としてお勧め。ソフトクリームは雄町工場の直売店では春〜秋までの限定販売ですが、こちらでは一年中いただけるようです。 季節限定まんぢゅうは時折変わるようですし、また訪れたいです。
