Playground for Kemari This is the place where Kemari was played. Kemari is an ancient Japanese football game originally from China, which was enthusiastically played by courtiers. Kemari is a non-competitive ball game. Players stand in a circle and kick a ball to pass it on to fellow players trying to keep the ball off the ground. The objective is to keep the ball going as long as possible. Emperors enjoyed watching the game.
