Small beautiful temple that wasn't very busy when I visited one morning in early March, 2018. Immediate sense of peace upon entering and while small, definitely worth a visit. Well manicured and very relaxing and scenic. There were tours with a guide speaking Japanese through the main temple complex for a small fee, but I passed on that. I walked around and sat in the sun and mediated a little bit. This is a must-see if this is what you're looking for as opposed to some of the bigger and more...

Went here a couple of years ago as part of a Zen Garden tour on Airbnb and it was great. I would have never gone if it wasn’t for the tour and happy I did. Our guide gave us information about the design of the garden and there are pictures of what you are suppose to see. It’s in an area of lots of temples so worth coming here while checking all...

A lovely temple where you can enjoy tranquility and peace. Konchi-in definitely had a different atmosphere compared to busier temples nearby, like Nanzenji and Ginkakuji, which are both usually full of tourists. I recommend dropping by here if you need time away from the chaos and noise crowds...
