Goemon Chaya — Restaurant in Kyoto

Hidden gem of the area. Every other restaurants in the area seem to be very expensive, but not this one. It's very local and have many local customers. The owner and the staffs are very warm hearted and friendly. We were dinning with our one yr old daughter and she was sleeping, so they gave us a private dinning room with tatami so she can lay down and a sliding door that can shut the noises outside. The yodofu here is super good! Lots of flavorful side dishes, rice, tempura vegetable side, and the tofu for only 2500 yen.
