My familyโ€™s favorite place in Matsuyama. My sons love to play in this place. And sometimes doing some sports like running or practicing to catch the ball. The park is huge. While the kids playing you can explore the other side if this park, the yuzuki castle ruins. You can find the diorama of samuraiโ€™s house in there. In spring, many people gathering hanami in this spot, and you can enjoy seeing blooming sakura. While enjoy some attraction in this place like traditional dance or someone playing traditional instruments. If you like hiking, you can try โ€œa small hikingโ€ in the hill in this part. At the top of the hill, there is observatory. You can explore the diugo are in this place. Its easy to find matsuyama castle in this place also. If you like birds..you can find easily burd in this park. And if you like photography, just grab it your camera and take a shoot. So many flowers in here, from ume to sakura, magnolia. And in the pond there are turtles and koi. What a perfect mix. At the end of year until January you can enjoy the illumination of Dougo in here. So many lampions from the pictures that the students from elementary school in dougo area present in here

Great Park, totally free, there is a playground area very large. There are a lot of bathrooms and there is maps around indicating where they are. The observatory is great and has a perfect sunset view. The only problem is that in order to access it you must take stairs, which make it less accessible. One great thing it has in its favour is the abscence of hostile architecture (one thing that i notice is very common in Japan unfortunatly). Hope they keep it this way, despite having no people living on the streets.
