日光二荒山神社の境内奥にある男体山の登山口（登拝門）、ここがまた特別な雰囲気を放っています。重厚な黒い鳥居と、その奥にたたずむ拝殿。両側に並ぶ石灯籠や木立に囲まれた空間は、まさに“ここから神域に入るんだ”って気持ちにさせてくれます。 鳥居の先はすぐに登山道。ここから標高2486mの男体山を目指すわけですが、スタート地点に立っただけで背筋がピンと伸びるような、神聖な空気をビシビシ感じます。登山目的で来る人も多いけど、もちろん、ここまでお参りするだけでも十分にご利益を感じられる場所です。 登山するには登拝料が必要で、しっかりした登山届も提出するスタイル。気軽なハイキング感覚じゃなく、ちゃんと「登拝」という意識で挑みたいところ。ここをくぐる瞬間の、ちょっとした緊張感とワクワク感は、他の山とはまた違った特別な体験です！
