【湖畔の静けさと甘い余韻】 I came to Café TOKI for a quiet afternoon of work and left with a sense of calm that lingered long after my coffee cooled. It’s rare to find a spot in the area where both laptops and leashed dogs are welcome — even if only on the terrace.
The caramel latte was silky and well-balanced, pairing beautifully with their rich and creamy cheesecake. These are flavors crafted with care, not rushed or overly sweetened. The view from the terrace—Cuzenjiko Lake shimmering in the afternoon light and a vivid red torii framing the scene—is the kind of backdrop that turns a café visit into a mini-retreat.
The staff were warm and thoughtful, fluent in English yet responsive to my Japanese, which I appreciated. As it got chillier past 15:30, they kindly let me linger outside even after closing, offering the bench space as a quiet nook.
If I had one wish, it’s that dogs were allowed indoors—something to consider for colder months. But for now, the terrace, with its tranquil view and gracious service, remains a peaceful haven.

You can choose from several hand-drip options, each served in beautiful ceramic cups that add to the cozy aesthetic. Their light desserts, especially the chiffon cake, pair wonderfully with the coffee and make for an ideal afternoon treat after exploring Kegon Falls or the...
